Cute, little cabin — Grand view of Denali
Our little Talkeetna log cabin vacation rental offers unobstructed panoramic Denali and Alaska Range mountain views. This Alaska tiny house vacation rental is located just a short drive away from Downtown Talkeetna's busyness of little shops and guide services (and away also from the constant sounds of bush planes and the Alaska Railroad rolling by). Here at our tucked away place, you can get a good night's rest. My Alaska Cabin in Talkeetna is perfectly situated in between Anchorage and Denali National Park entrance, which makes this place the perfect starting point for day trips south or north.
Amenities
Our tiny home vacation rental is equipped with everything we could think of our guests might need: a little kitchenette with a 2-burner propane stove and little oven compartment, quality pots, pans and kitchen utensils, a bathroom with toilet, shower and towels (shower gel and shampoo), bedding and extra blankets, and porch chairs. Because of our off-grid location, the cabin does not have a an electric fridge, but we have a quality ice box and reusable ice packs to keep your groceries and drinks cool. Enjoy the grand view of the Alaska Range including Denali from the porch, or snuggle up on the sofa with lots of soft cushions and blankets and an oversized ottoman, and look out the picture window to see Denali and the tops of spruce and birch trees.
We use solar power on sunny days, and a generator as backup. Electricity is provided via a battery bank. Most guests don't even notice that they are in an off-grid location. We ask our guests to be energy-conscious, and we are happy to explain our alternative power set up if you are interested.
The cabin sits between our two homes (where we live year round), so the cabin is not a "remote" place. Yet it still feels private, because there is nothing to obstruct the view. No neighbors in sight.
